Dear Friends of Saving Our Youth VA,

As the end of the year approaches, I’d like to share some of the highlights from our programs this year. Even with COVID 19 putting a big damper on things, we still managed to keep our youth active and learning.

Please see our newsletter highlighting our programs this year.  And now, Saving Our Youth is putting together the building blocks of communication skills, empathy, integrity, and decision-making into a program called The Art of Leadership to further our goal of building productive citizens in 2021.

The Art of Leadership offers sessions such as:

  • Empower Your Life: Teaching practical adult readiness skills and the keys to meaningful relationships.

  • The Art of the Debate: Building social skills, critical thinking, effective communication, independent research, and teamwork.

  • Resurgence: Growing relationships with God and others through meals, games, and Bible study.

  • College-Trade-Work: Offering a vision of the benefits that higher education can bring, including the hope of breaking the cycle of poverty that our students and their families have experienced.

  • Morality – The Good and the Bad: Growing a commitment to the kinds of good choices that promote self-respect, healthy relationships, leadership, and community involvement.

Like most organizations, Saving Our Youth relies on the regular gifts of those who share our vision. I know you to be someone who cares deeply about the welfare of others so I am bold to ask: Will you please consider sowing into the youth and community we serve through a monthly donation or a one-time gift for our 2021 programs?  I, and the youth we serve, would be grateful for any amount you are able to give!

I would also be delighted to give you a tour of the 6PIC building where SOY is housed and answer any questions you have about the organization that I’m privileged to be a part of.

Thank you in advance.
